RAFFLE NO. 7
No 7. Pascal Wild - Spätsommer
No 7. Pascal Wild - Spätsommer
Pascal Wild (b. 1991) in Darmstadt, Germany, currently lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
In my works I create vibrant visual worlds that are humorous, playful, and emotionally layered. Working with oil, acrylic, spray paint, ceramics, and mixed materials like sand or pastels, I use bold colors and simple forms to craft images that shift between fairytale-like scenes, irony, and emotional depth. Beneath the bright surfaces, my work tells stories—blending personal experiences, cultural references, and symbolic themes. I draw inspiration from myths, old masters, and everyday life to explore existential questions in a way that remains light: through humor, color, and a childlike, direct visual language.
A recurring figure often appears throughout my work—a stylized, open-eyed character that reflects aspects of myself. Over time, this figure has become a kind of companion, traveling with me through different emotional and symbolic landscapes. It serves as both narrator and witness—a visual anchor that guides viewers through my ongoing artistic journey.
At the heart of what I do is the idea of the “inner child”—not as a form of nostalgia, but as an artistic mindset rooted in openness, honesty, and wonder. I intentionally use exaggerated, almost naive forms to transform complex topics into visual stories that are accessible yet emotionally resonant.
In my recent work, I continue to explore the intersection of personal experience and shared cultural memory—across both paintings and ceramic objects.
